Chinese (traditional)- A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
- While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
- A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- A fool hath no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself. - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish. - For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. - The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - But let judgment run down as waters,
and righteousness as a mighty stream.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth.Next verse! With image
