Chinese (traditional)- Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
- It is honorable to refrain from strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - Deceit is in the mind of those who plan evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- Words spoken by the wise bring them favor,
but the lips of fools consume them. - One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever.
- But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
- House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
- All day long the wicked covet,
but the righteous give and do not hold back. - Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
- For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Be still, and know that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations,
I am exalted in the earth.
