- When pride comes, then comes disgrace;
but wisdom is with the humble. - I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;

We bless you from the house of the Lord. - And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- Look! He is coming with the clouds;
every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him;
and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail.
So it is to be. Amen. - Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - I baptize you with water for repentance, but one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- And he said, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For it is from within, from the human heart, that evil intentions come: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride, folly. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
- I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
- Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you.
- O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.
- Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - The wise of heart will heed commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. - Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and behold
the face of God? - Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
- I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.
- The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives;
those who open wide their lips come to ruin. - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
- And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
- All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being.
- I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.
- Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.
