- When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom. - I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
- Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
- The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!” - Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you. - “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
- So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit. - “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
- Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

- Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. - Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
- Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. - He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. - As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.
- Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
- From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin. - Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb,
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands.
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
