Cometh (3/4)

  • For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being.
  • Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
  • The hope of the righteous ends in gladness,
    but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing.
  • Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
  • Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
  • On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
  • Pray then in this way:
    Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name.
    Your kingdom come.
    Your will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.
  • I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
  • Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
  • Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
  • Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”
  • And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.
  • I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
  • But he answered, “It is written,
    ‘One does not live by bread alone,
    but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
  • The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
    his mercies never come to an end;
    they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
  • Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
  • For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
  • The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
  • For, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
  • He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.
  • Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
  • Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
  • For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
  • Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
