Chinese (traditional)- Before a downfall the heart is haughty,
but humility comes before honor. - Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,
and humility comes before honor. - Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;
the more knowledge, the more grief. - I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
- We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.
- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief. - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
- Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
- When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
- For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
- Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
- Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
- And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
- On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”
- Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.
- One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us nor forsake us. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Next verse!With image
