- By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
- Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
- Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;
they go down into the inner parts of the body. - Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
