Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Eye'
- Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. - However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him. - If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - I made a covenant with my eyes
not to look lustfully at a young woman. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you. - I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry. - After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
- Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - As goods increase,
so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners
except to feast their eyes on them? - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones. - So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
- I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
- I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
- Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.Next verse!With image
