- There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
- The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life. - The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
and humility comes before honor. - He who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. - God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! - Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his steadfast love. - As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
- The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. - For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day.
- Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.Next verse!With image
