- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
- And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God. - Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - And I will walk at liberty:
for I seek thy precepts. - See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
- For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
- But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- I will never forget thy precepts:
for with them thou hast quickened me. - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life.The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. He that walketh uprightly,
and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.Next verse!With image
