- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- And I will walk at liberty:
for I seek thy precepts. - Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God. - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed. - Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- I will never forget thy precepts:
for with them thou hast quickened me. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
