- Let us examine and test our ways
and return to the Lord. - For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles
so that you may bring salvation
to the farthest corners of the earth.’ - Indeed, the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? - O God, you are my God,
for whom I have been searching earnestly.
My soul yearns for you
and my body thirsts for you,
like the earth when it is parched,
arid and without water. - Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. - However, if we confess our sins,
he who is faithful and just
will forgive our sins
and cleanse us from all wrongdoing. - Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and refuse to submit again to the yoke of slavery.
- For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly.
- Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
- Instruct those who are rich in this world’s goods that they should not be proud, nor should they trust in the uncertainty of riches but rather in God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment.
- And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
- He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all is God.
- Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - Teach us to comprehend how few our days are
so that our hearts may be filled with wisdom. - Do not work for food that perishes
but for the food that endures for eternal life,
which the Son of Man will give you.
For it is on him
that God the Father has set his seal. - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- But he was pierced for our offenses
and crushed for our iniquity;
the punishment that made us whole fell upon him,
and by his bruises we have been healed. - God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
