Bible Verses about 'Giving to the needy'
- Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy. - And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
- Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.

- You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
- For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me and live.” - Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil. - The rich rules over the poor,
And the borrower is servant to the lender. - Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established. - Salvation belongs to the Lord.
Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah - And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

And turn back to the Lord. - But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry. - And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength. - Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. - To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives. - Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth. - So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. - Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’
- Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - O my soul, you have said to the Lord,

My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.

- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight. - Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
- And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
- “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
- For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
- But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
