- They will never again be hungry or thirsty;
they will never be scorched by the heat of the sun.
For the Lamb on the throne
will be their Shepherd.
He will lead them to springs of life-giving water.
And God will wipe every tear from their eyes. - And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
- Give justice to the poor and the orphan;
uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. - Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!
- He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
- If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.
- So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.
- So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

and strength to the powerless. - And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

and your plans will succeed. - Just as the rich rule the poor,

Praise the Lord! - Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel:
“Come back to me and live!” - But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

He freed me from all my fears. - I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.” - Instead, let us test and examine our ways.
Let us turn back to the Lord. - God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

I will praise my God to my last breath! - The wicked borrow and never repay,
but the godly are generous givers. - In my distress I prayed to the Lord,
and the Lord answered me and set me free. - Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever. - Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.
- Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things.
Make known his praise around the world. - Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.
- The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right;
his ears are open to their cries for help. - Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.
