Bible Verses about 'Giving to the needy'
- And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

offer praise to the Lord.

and be revered to the ends of the earth. - For your kindness extends to the heavens;
your faithfulness, to the skies. - Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God.

and new vigor to those who are powerless. - For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
If you seek me, you will survive. - Do not swerve either to the right or to the left;
keep your foot far from evil. - But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. - To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - In my distress I called out to the Lord;
he answered by setting me free. - Authority will be granted to the diligent,
but the lazy will be enslaved. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his mercy endures forever. - Give thanks to the Lord, invoke his name;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples. - When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law,
even his prayer is detestable. - Pleasing words are like a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and affording health to the body. - Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.”
- I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- The explanation of your words gives light
and imparts understanding to the simple. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - To the loyal, you show yourself to be loyal;

“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have life. - May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.
- And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. - Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
- For you, O God, have put us to the test;
you have purified us as silver is refined. - Entrust everything that you do to the Lord,
and your plans will turn out to be successful. - Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
I place my hope in God my savior;
my God will hear me. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.
- Entrust your cares to the Lord,
and he will uphold you;
he will never allow the righteous to waver. - I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
