- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
- So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
- Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. - He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”
- For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
- Now a mediator involves more than one party; but God is one.
- It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.Next verse!With image
