- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
- Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path. - Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

when God’s people live together in unity! - But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.

He cares for those who trust in him. - A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord. - Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor. - You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - For, “Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act. - The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is. - A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground. - A person finds joy in giving an apt reply—
and how good is a timely word! - “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.”
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
