Chinese (traditional)- In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this?
Who has summoned the nations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am the first,
and I will be there with the last. - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you should arm yourselves also with the same intention. For anyone who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin.
- This is
‘the stone rejected by you, the builders,
that has become the cornerstone.’ - Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
- The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it. - I am now about to go the way of all upon the earth. You know very well in your hearts and your souls that not one of the good things that the Lord, your God, promised you has failed to take place. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one of them has been broken.
- If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.
- The vine has withered;
the fig tree droops.
The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field have dried up.
And the joy of the people
has also withered away. - “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- Every word of God has proved to be true;
he is a shield to those who trust in him. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord.
- The tongue has the power over life and death;
those who cherish it will enjoy its fruits. - Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted.
- Like a city that has been breached and made defenseless
is the man devoid of self-control. - You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent.
A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life;
a poor man never has to worry about such threats.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
