- Let mutual love continue, and do not forget to offer hospitality to strangers, for by doing this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- But I with hymns of praise
will offer sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will fulfill.
Salvation comes from the Lord. - I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him. - Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - Jesus addressed them once again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
The one who follows me
will never walk in darkness.
Rather, he will have the light of life.” - How great you are, Lord God! There is no one like you, and there is no God except you alone, as everything that we have heard confirms.
- You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- O Lord, you have examined me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance. - Two are better than one:
they earn a far greater reward for their toil. - For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.

and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you,
in the presence of all the people. - For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another. - Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. You received without payment; give in the same way.
- On one occasion, while they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for me to do the work to which I have called them.”
- Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the eternal God,
the Creator of the earth’s farthest boundaries.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding cannot be scrutinized. - The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
- However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes.
