- If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved. - Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way. - Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.
- For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears. - And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
- The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing. - He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
- When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.
- The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’
- He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
- Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
- As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him;
He is excellent in power,
In judgment and abundant justice;
He does not oppress. - You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
- And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
- And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.
- Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive. - And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
- But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
- Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
- The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
