- He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. - I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. - The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
- So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
- He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He. - The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills. - Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah - And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
- He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
- But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
- Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday. - So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer.
- And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
- Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart. - And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
- May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose. - And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
- My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights. - What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?
- But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. - And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
- For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth.
