Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his. | There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Alleluia. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his precepts. | Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. |
As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. |
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. | Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
