  • But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
  • Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
  • For he guards the course of the just
    and protects the way of his faithful ones.
  • Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
  • As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
  • You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
  • I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
  • But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.
  • Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,
    no one who does what is right and never sins.
  • Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
  • For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
  • The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”
  • And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
  • To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
  • So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
    but the heart of the wicked is of little value.
  • In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
  • For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
  • See, the enemy is puffed up;
    his desires are not upright—
    but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.
  • May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
    even as we put our hope in you.
  • Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
  • For the Lord loves the just
    and will not forsake his faithful ones.
    Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
    the offspring of the wicked will perish.
  • Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
  • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
