Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.Keep the Sabbath day to treat it as holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you.
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.One who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, But one who is trustworthy conceals a matter.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will advise you with My eye upon you.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.Therefore know today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.
For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.For the Lord loves justice And does not abandon His godly ones; They are protected forever, But the descendants of the wicked will be eliminated.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.For You light my lamp; The Lord my God illumines my darkness.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. And you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.
Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.Watch the path of your feet, And all your ways will be established.
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.One who gets wisdom loves his own soul; One who keeps understanding will find good.
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
