- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the Lord. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
- For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
- Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord;
that walketh in his ways. - I sought the Lord, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
- Salvation belongeth unto the Lord:
thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. - Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
- Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
