their vindication from me, says the Lord. - Wait quietly for the Lord
and be patient until he comes.
Do not fret over the man who prospers
because of his evil schemes. - Put your trust in the Lord and do good,
that you may dwell in the land and be secure. - I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
- Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
- Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you.
- Indeed, the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his plan
to his servants, the prophets. - And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.
- But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.

I would pour out my thoughts to you

I have no good apart from you.” - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you waverers.
- But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
- Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.
- But as for you,
the anointing you received from him
remains in you,
and therefore you do not need anyone
to teach you.
This same anointing
teaches you everything
and is true and not false,
so abide in him just as he taught you. - You did not choose me.
Rather, I chose you.
And I appointed you
to go out and bear fruit,
fruit that will remain,
so that the Father may give you
whatever you ask him in my name. - To the loyal, you show yourself to be loyal;
to the blameless, you show yourself to be blameless. - Oh, that they would have fear of me in their hearts and they would observe all of my commandments always. Then things would go well with them and their children forever.
- If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
- To you, O God of my fathers,
I offer thanks and praise
because you have given me wisdom and power.
Now you have made known to me
what we asked of you;
you have revealed to us the king’s dream. - I will instruct you
and guide you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you
and keep my eyes upon you. - “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth:
it is better for you that I depart.
For if I do not go away,
the Advocate will not come to you,
whereas if I go,
I will send him to you.
