Bible Verses about 'Proverbs 3:5-6'
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. - Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. - My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. - Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. - Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,
for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence. - Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. - Hear, my son, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. - Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. - Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - Ponder the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure. - Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - My son, keep your father's commandment,
and forsake not your mother's teaching. - Or can one walk on hot coals
and his feet not be scorched? - The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate. - For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - A wise son makes a glad father,

but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. - The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
the heart of the wicked is of little worth. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - The hope of the righteous brings joy,
but the expectation of the wicked will perish. - The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,
but destruction to evildoers. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. - When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with the humble is wisdom. - The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets,
but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered. - The wicked earns deceptive wages,
but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. - Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but he who hates reproof is stupid. - The vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult. - Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
