- Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and forgive our sins,
for your name's sake. - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. - For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it is past,
or like a watch in the night. - So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! - You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul. - O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - The Lord loves those who hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful;
he rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us. - As a father has compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. - But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually.Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.Next verse!With image
