- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. - “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.” - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
