Bible Verses about 'Psalm 62'
- Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. - Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. - “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.” - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens. - My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. - Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. - Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked. - You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands. - Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts. - I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. - Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always. - For he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. - He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. - I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise. - Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands. - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.Next verse!With image
