Bible Verses about 'Say the'
- Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
- Everyone enjoys a fitting reply;
it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! - So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?” - But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

- Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.
- So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
- But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
- Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”
- And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
- Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.
- Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord.
Say to him,
“Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us,
so that we may offer you our praises.” - Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.
- I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!” - Don’t long for “the good old days.”
This is not wise. - For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’ - Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
- I said to the Lord, “You are my Master!
Every good thing I have comes from you.” - Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
- “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
- I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
- In that wonderful day you will sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!” - Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him. - Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
- You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord. - But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
- God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
- What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator.
Does a clay pot argue with its maker?
Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,
‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’
Does the pot exclaim,
‘How clumsy can you be?’ - Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
- Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
- You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
- Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.”
- Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”
- And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
- From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
- You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
- My child, listen to me and do as I say,
and you will have a long, good life. - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
- Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
- So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
- And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
- So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
- Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.”
- Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
- I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message.
- Do what is good and run from evil
so that you may live!
Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper,
just as you have claimed.
