But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest.

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
