- Who can find a worthy wife?
She is far more precious than pearls. - When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”

This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh. - Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way.
- The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
- Therefore, you will be given this sign
by the Lord himself:
The virgin will be with child,
and she will give birth to a son,
and she will name him Immanuel. - Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,
but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes. - However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- On one Sabbath as Jesus was teaching in the synagogue, a woman was present, possessed by a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and completely unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and began praising God.
But the leader of the synagogue was indignant because Jesus had effected a cure on the Sabbath, and he said to the assembled people, “There are six days when work is permitted. Come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath.” The Lord said to him in reply, “You hypocrites! Is there a single one of you who does not untie his ox or his donkey and lead it from its stall to give it water on the Sabbath? Should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has held bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the Sabbath?” At these words, all his adversaries were put to shame, and the people rejoiced at all the wonderful things he was doing. - What is born of the flesh is flesh,
and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. - Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven,
whose sin is erased. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver.
The Lord is our king;
he is the one who will save us. - Now this Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
- There is no holy one like the Lord,
there is none beside you,
nor is there a rock like our God. - Surely God is my helper;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? - For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah - For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all is God.
- Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
a name that means “God is with us.” - A man’s attraction is his kindness;
it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. - This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him. - Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise.
- If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.
- Now an intermediary is not necessary when there is only one party, and God is one.
- And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. - For the word of the Lord is true,
and he is faithful in everything he does. - Dear children,
you are from God
and you have conquered them,
for the one who is in you is greater
than the one who is in the world. - Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- Love is patient;
love is charitable.
Love is not envious;
it does not have an inflated opinion of itself;
it is not filled with its own importance.
Love is never rude;
it does not seek its own advantage.
It is not prone to anger;
neither does it brood over setbacks. - The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety. - The way of God is blameless;
the Lord’s promise has proved true.
He is a shield to all
who take refuge in him. - He is a rock, his deeds are perfect,
and all of his ways are just.
He is a God of truth who does no wrong;
he is just and upright. - The tongue of the just man is like pure silver;
the heart of the wicked is without worth. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free man, there is no longer male or female. For all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
- He replied, “What is impossible for men is possible for God.”
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- It is honorable to avoid strife,
but every fool is quarrelsome. - Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it. - Great is the Lord and worthy of the highest praise;
no one can even begin to comprehend his greatness. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
