| Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. | Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. |
| Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you. | Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. |

| You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. | For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. |
| So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. | So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. |
| Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. | Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. |
| You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. | Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. |
| “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. | Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. |
| So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. | Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. | So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. | So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. |
| As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. | As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. |
| This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. |
| Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave. | But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. |

| “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! | For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” | For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. |
| God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. | For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. |
| So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. | So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. |
| For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. | For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. |
| So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. | That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. |
| After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. | So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. |
