- My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
- Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
- For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is. - You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.
- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
- As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. - This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
- Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.
- Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
- “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. - For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
- So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.Next verse!With image
