- All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
- This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit

both now and forevermore. - So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless. - Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. - I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts. - Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family,
and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you—
better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away. - But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
- I will hasten and not delay
to obey your commands. - If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones. - You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
- ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’

a light on my path. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word.
