  • There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.

So the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”
  • For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

  • For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
  • Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
  • Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles,
    But one who gathers by labor increases it.
  • You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
  • “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me,” declares the Lord.
  • “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “Return to Me with all your heart,
    And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
