Bible Verses about 'Time'

  • For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
  • For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
  • The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
  • Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
  • From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
  • Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
  • Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
  • He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
  • For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
  • The Lord will keep you from all evil;
    he will keep your life.
    The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
  • They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.
  • Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
  • Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
  • Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
  • For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
  • And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
  • A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.
  • No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
  • No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
  • And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
  • When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
  • To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is!

And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
