- When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. - Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses,
but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to put confidence in mortals. - Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you. - Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday. - You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - Those who are attentive to a matter will prosper,
and happy are those who trust in the Lord. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit. - But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
- In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
be wise enough to desist.
O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone!Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.Next verse!With image
