Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Up'
- Hatred stirs up conflict,
but love covers over all wrongs. - Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. - He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- The vine is dried up
and the fig tree is withered;
the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field—are dried up.
Surely the people’s joy
is withered away. - After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
- Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
- A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
- When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
- Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
- Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
- Anxiety weighs down the heart,
but a kind word cheers it up.
The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous.Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
