- For he will repay according to each one's deeds.
- For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

and will be with the last. - As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
- Because I delivered the poor who cried,
and the orphan who had no helper.
The blessing of the wretched came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - Speak out for those who cannot speak,
for the rights of all the destitute. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
- Then Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine but his who sent me.”
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also.
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
- He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. - No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Those who keep the commandment will live;
those who are heedless of their ways will die.
