Bible Verses about 'Why do bad things happen'
- Do not be deceived:
“Bad company ruins good morals.” - Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.

- What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

and the hungry he fills with good things. - For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.

- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
- O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want.
- You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
- The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
