Bible Verses about 'Wisdom to help'
- I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- When pride comes, then comes shame;
But with the humble is wisdom. - For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. - For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. - Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
- For in much wisdom is much grief,
And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. - I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths. - The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom,
And before honor is humility. - He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction. - By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. - So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul;
If you have found it, there is a prospect,
And your hope will not be cut off. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the glory of Your name;
And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,
For Your name’s sake! - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
- Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
- I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand. - Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
- Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. - Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come— that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God. - Because I delivered the poor who cried out,
The fatherless and the one who had no helper.
The blessing of a perishing man came upon me,
And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. - Do not say,
“Why were the former days better than these?”
For you do not inquire wisely concerning this. - Do not overwork to be rich;
Because of your own understanding, cease! - For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. - The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit. - Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
