Bible Verses about 'Wisdom to help'
- I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever else you get, get insight. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. - When pride comes, then comes disgrace;
but wisdom is with the humble. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Do not fear,
I will help you.” - For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
- The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
and humility goes before honor. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and forgive our sins,
for your name's sake. - By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. - In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. - I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever. - This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in wisdom. - But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.

I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and power,
and have now revealed to me what we asked of you,
for you have revealed to us what the king ordered. - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. - When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears,
and rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,
and saves the crushed in spirit. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
- Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.

and the orphan who had no helper.
The blessing of the wretched came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand has supported me;
your help has made me great.
You gave me a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. - How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?

be wise enough to desist. - Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
do not hold your peace at my tears.
For I am your passing guest,
an alien, like all my forebears. - A friend loves at all times,
and kinsfolk are born to share adversity. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. - But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety.
