and with all thy getting get understanding. - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.

which made heaven and earth. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

but with the lowly is wisdom. - How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

neither decline from the words of my mouth. - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

I have led thee in right paths. - He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. - For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:
his praise endureth for ever. - Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.

and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. - I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,

and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:

and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones. - The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. - Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
