And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. | Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. |
And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife. | Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. |
And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you! | Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. |

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. | Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. |
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. | Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. |

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? | What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? |
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. | What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. |
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
