Chinese (traditional)- Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - I have set the Lord always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people:
and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. - Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
- Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
- Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
- Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. - Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
- For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Next verse!With image
