Live (2/4)

  • What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
  • I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
  • Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
  • Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
    I will praise you as long as I live,
    and in your name I will lift up my hands.
  • For we live by faith, not by sight.
  • But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.
  • I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
    he heard my cry for mercy.
    Because he turned his ear to me,
    I will call on him as long as I live.
  • Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
  • Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
  • He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
  • For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
  • For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
  • Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
  • The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
    the world, and all who live in it.
  • God sets the lonely in families,
    he leads out the prisoners with singing;
    but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
  • For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
  • Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
  • For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
  • And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
  • This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
  • If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
  • I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
  • Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
  • Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
  • For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Random Bible Verse

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.
