- Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! - For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.”
- Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
- Blessed is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- The memory of the righteous is a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed.
- Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
- For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death. - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
- But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool. - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. - Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
