- For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
- We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
- Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people. - Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
- But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
- But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. - I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- The way of the Lord is strength for the upright,
But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. - But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
- This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
- I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah - He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But he who is careless of his ways will die. - Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
- And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
- I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions,
And like a cloud, your sins.
Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. - You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
- That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
- In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long. - Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
- Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. - Who is a God like You,
Pardoning iniquity
And passing over the transgression
of the remnant of His heritage?
He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy.
