- Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness,
for they are from old times.
Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions.
Remember me according to your loving kindness,
for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh. - For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”
- For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
- Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
- Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
- The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
- Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin.
- It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
- There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
- For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness.
I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more. - “Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:
“Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” - Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
- In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - We have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.
- Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a disgrace to any people.
